Fog + Camera = Fun Afternoon
01/17/09 03:11 PM
Last Saturday was extremely foggy in Cincinnati, and
not having gone on a shoot in a while, I was getting
antsy. So, I bundled up, and headed out to Ault Park.
It was beautiful! I met a guy who laughed and said,
"There's probably not much to take pictures of is
there?" I replied that this is one of my favorite
conditions to shoot under. You can get some really
surreal looking shots when it's this foggy. It was so
bad I couldn't even see past 20' in some places.
After a while the fog lifted, and things returned to
normal, but, all in all, it was an afternoon well
spent. I had fun, and got a few fun shots. Enjoy!

A Few Pictures from Around the House
12/24/08 12:20 AM
It's been pretty slow around here lately, which is
fine with me! Here are a few random pictures that
I've snapped lately.
My niece Katie having fun with some towels.
She does like to pose on occasion.
My brother, Jason, installing new tile flooring in our basement.
It seems like he can do anything.
A really cool old Detrola radio my grandpa gave me. It works well too!
Our Christmas tree.
The presents are beginning to pile up.
My grandparents just gave my Mom a grandfather clock. I love it!
I've always been fascinated by clocks, especially mechanical.
It's very well made, and keeps excellent time.
Will post more, when the mood strikes me
Ryan
P.S. Just to let you know, I added a rating feature to my website, so now you can rate my papers as to how helpful you found them, you can rate blogs as well. There are also quite a few other improvements to the site, such as being able to comment on papers, more links on the Links page, a completely new format for the Photography section (what do you think of it?), a bunch of other little things have improved as well.

Some Recent Flora Shots
07/05/07 12:06 AM

Sorry for the lack of updates as of late! Due to the fact that it is a hassle to hook up my internet here at home, my blogs kind of build up until I finally force myself to go through the hassle of hooking everything up. I did get a chance to take pictures just for fun the other day. It felt good

A Few Portraits I Recently Took
05/22/07 06:01 PM

I was asked recently to take a few portraits for some people from GBS. I had a lot of fun! The first picture is of my fellow students, Aaron and Lisa. The baby is Elliott Profitt, the son of Aaron and Lisa Profitt (Mr. Profitt is one of my professors). The first picture was taken at a nearby park, while Elliott's pictures were taken on the GBS campus. The funny thing with Elliott is that as soon as they would set him on the ground he was start to cry. So, I got a lot of really cute crying pictures

Austin's Senior Pictures
04/23/07 02:54 PM
Last Saturday was a new experience for me. Yes, I've been taking picture for a while now, but there is a vast difference between taking mostly candid shots, and actually doing a photo shoot with someone. It was a new experience, but a overall good one. I am not an expert at 'placing' people, but Austin's my cousin, and so they were patient to help me figure out the best pose. It was actually a lot of fun.
