When I was given the assignment of delivering a commemorative speech for Public Speaking class at GBS, I was unsure of what my topic should be. I thought of several possibilities, but eventually settled on commemorating my Father's life. I knew this would be difficult for me, but I felt it was what I needed to do. Before I started writing the speech I prayed that God would bless my efforts, and use the speech for His glory. I have heard from several people that it has been a blessing to them, and I was encouraged to post it on my website so that it may encourage others. And so, it is for this reason that I posted it. Not that it may bring glory to myself, but that it may bring glory to my Heavenly Father through the life of my earthly father.
